Dental Disaster

When I extracted a tooth more than 20 yrs back, I never though the ghost of that will haunt me at this time. When you are in US, it’s better to go for regular routine check ups twice a year and STOP at that. However, I was not that lucky, I decided to listen to the doctor when she suggested I should fill the gap or it will make the other ones move in to fill the gap. I should have thought, if it didn’t move at all in the past 20 years, I could have gone for another 20 years easily, of course with a little luck. I decided to put a bridge ,in India, for less than half the cost here. I felt it was not worth spending that much for an almost cosmetic dental procedure.

My dental disaster journey started there.2 years back I put the bridge from an elderly dentist in tvm..everything was okay. When I came back, some issues started popping up. All of a sudden, there was redness on the gum area where I had the bridge. If I eat almonds, it became more reddish. So thought I may be allergic and stopped using that. But the redness still grew brighter.
My dentist suggested biopsy! Because they have never seen anything like that before.okay, went for the biopsy. Result? As expected, normal. Therefore, they said the bridge is the cause. Since it was done in India, it was easy for them to point their fingers to that .The answer they had for my problem was to remove it and they will put a new bridge for me here. I wasn’t going to do it here anyways.
So last year I went back, saw a different dentist who also does dental tourism, and got new bridge. After coming back here, the same issue started again .Went to the dentist here. And she said, it’s the new bridge. Take it off!! Or we could go for one more biopsy! I said no to that. I hated that procedure for biopsy. She seemed to have good confidence that if I do the bridge here, there will not be any issues. Therefore, they took the bridge off and threw it away. There went the money , pain and time I had to spend for putting that on. Total waste. They put a temporary bridge for the time being, until I make up my mind to put a permanent one here.
She also gave me a steroid mouthwash . It helped lowering the redness. However, since the cause is still unknown., I decided to stop using that and let them think what’s causing that issue. Other than repeating the same old fact that, the made in India bridge is the cause, let them find some other reason. Anyway after spending altogether a not too small amount on all these putting on’s and taking off’s,and a very good chance of spending a considerable amount on the same road again, I am still not sure if I will end up with a good bridge or with the same issues. I cannot leave the gap as it was before, since they changed the shapes of the two good ones,to accommodate the bridge. I am holding the tiger's tail.
On top of that, there is something funny that happened yesterday. Since its Easter time, many of my friends’ kids were giving up their favorite things until Easter, some giving up even playing games etc . I thought why don’t I try too. So starting last Sunday, I decided to be a 100%vegetarian and no snacks between meals . I made a change on Friday since I promised my kid I would take him to a restaurant. So just for this Friday, I thought I would deviate a little. All I did was taking a bite from a French fry, and I heared a cracking noise, I felt my temporary swinging back and forth. I told my son, well it could have been a warning from 'above' for breaking my promise:) I left a message on my dentist’s cell, who was on her vacation. She called me right away, and asked if I need her to come back to the clinic the same day and see me. I said no, but I wanted to tell her what’s happening since I got a little panicky:) anyway was feeling low thinking of what even after I put a new one what if i still get the problem???it’s a problem… an unsolved mystery.
