Happy vishu:) with whatever we get here, including frozen banana leaf, I made a small sadya.but the pictures are showing 2004, I don’t know what went wrong when my son uploaded these pictures.

The 'almost' sadya looks nice....but nothing compares with the orginal Kerala sadya.

Btw....why is tat pappad....soooo white..!!!!! (Or is it something else?).

well, one could make do with whatver one gets:)so ys,the whole idea was to have something similiar to sadya.in the place were we are,there is only one indian restaurant and that too a north indian rest.
that is pappadam,thats what we get from the rest:)it says pappadam,but turns out to be appalam sometimes!
