Karthika

I like Karthika better than Deepavali,no offence,:), because of it's  silent beauty. Beautiful to see houses in the special yellow glow of lamps,and not to have your ears covered becuase of fire crackers. I enjoyed lighting those small rounded clay lamps when i was small. Now mil buys different types of clay lamps. Somehow i attach candles to Christmas so cant accept candles on karthika,for karthika i want only clay lamps. It's not a big time fesitval,some special food,and the lightening of lamps,done.
 I think my all time favorite festival is Karthika with it's soft ethereal  beauty...
