The beast..

The news is rather evil, shocking, heinous, beyond words. A girl coming home from work in train, being pushed off from the train and then being raped and seriously injured? I hope the man who did this gets nothing short of capital punishment. He deserves nothing less. With having only one hand if he was able to do such a crime, what he wouldn’t do with both hands free? First he tried to steal the girl’s purse and cell phone, and then pushing her off the train. He also jumped after her as the train was just moving away from the station. When she was lying there hurt, the beast tried to rape her. When she objected he hit her with a rock on her head and face which is the cause of her critical condition now. What to do with such animals? Most people are against capital punishment, but in crimes like this after its proven who the culprit is / who did this crime, he must be given the maximum punishment. I wish he would get that.

I remember during one of our self defense classes listening to instructor telling us that most of the time a male is in no way equal to a female when it comes to physical strength. But that doesn’t mean in a bad situation  females should just be scared and submit without giving a fight. The best thing I heard to do in such a situation was a simple thing anybody can do but just have presence of mind. We were told to put our fingers/finger nail right in to his eyes as hard as we could or put your fingers up his nostrils. Or the basic technique that almost every females in the English movies in such a situation are seen doing, kneeing them on the right spot. Anything, do anything that would catch the guy by surprise, we were told because that could give us some time to try to escape. Agree it could work only if there is a single attacker... I hope and pray it never happens but whoever ever finds themselves in such a situation go with all your might to just pluck the guy’s eyes out or do anything to hurt him . I have heard about not to resist as it could result in aggravating the situation more but I would say that is okay in a situation where there is more than one attacker..

I am feeling so depressed. Not just because of this, but there is another incident that happened just few days back..

I hope and pray this girl would survive and have a good life in future.

Meera,

I understand your anger.
You know the sequel to the story now.

I heard lots of discussions on this.Political parties made marches. They attacked rail way stations,as if they have sponsored the attacks. And there were thousands of mourners.

The truth is,no one dared to help that girl. This is Kerala,Gods own country. There were many, who were witnesses to that event. No one bothered to pull the chain and stop the train. They even discouraged the one who wanted to do that.

Aren't they responsible too?

they are more than responsible for saying, she will be alive, even though the other guy said he thinks a girl jumped out of the train and didnt let him pull the chain. all are responsible.only us can be such evils at times like this i guess..i remember watching the video clip of a police officer in Tamil nadu, being hit by a jeep sometime back and how people around him just looking at him calmly. the man trying to get and then collapsing but the others just stay there and watch!! it looked like a horror movie, how can people act this way!!!
