Part(3)

The driver who picked us up the day before came in the morning to take us to the railway station. On the way whenever he got a chance he would take out his comb and comb his beard and moustache. He would look at every single female shadow on the road. I was glad to get down at the railway station safely.

Our cabin had an uninvited passenger too, a Rat. What is the use in having different classes like first class or second class and charging a lot for that, if they cannot keep the rats, bugs, cockroaches and what not, away? It is better to have only general classes so we can at least make these bugs go out through the windows, rather than wondering where did that big fat bug go or when is it poking its head again?

From the next station another person came and started sleeping as soon as he entered the cabin. But later on his friend came looking for him and sat there. The guy was sneezing and coughing and looked like he is getting a nasty flu. I tried to cover myself with the sheet up to my face since he wasn’t going to cover his face while sneezing. I know, I can be a paranoid mess sometimes. Thank God after sometime he left. The travel was smooth and at 4.30 I called my son to ask how the day was for him. As usual we ended up in an argument. While listening partially to my talks and arguments with my son, the co passenger asked me if I am doing some business and is firing somebody. I said no I was just talking to my 15 year old son ….and how I wish I could fire him…

The guy said he was doing clothing business and is on the way from Surat to Amritsar his home town and his wife owns boutiques in Amritsar.
