Devika

I was reminded of the song -Nadiya chale chale re dhara, chanda chale chale re tara, thujh ko chalna hoga thujh ko chalna hoga-by Mannadey in movei Safar, when i read about Bhupen Hazarika.I loved his songs in Rudaali.

Hazarika -- i love all his compositions..especially Assamese songs -- i don't understand the lyrics, though -- just this song, i got a translation :)

If you want i can send you the DVD of Ore kadal:)
My movie watching is not that funny either, most times i fall asleep in the middle of a movie. Only a very few mvies i was able to watch fully, like Ore kadal and Kaiopp. Thats why i rembr them hehe:). Used to buy a lot of movies when we used to come here for vacation. We felt we wont miss home if we see mal movies (sometimes tamil too) atleast once every week.:).But we also enjoyed blk n white movies, like we saw last week Aranazhika neram. Those movies had stories and strong female characters in them, unlike the all decked up dolls who has nothing to do except sing and dance in most of the movies nowadays:(

oh No Meera, thanks...I will get it or may be watch when its on TV :)

I know...my taste lies in the script, characterisation too...Once in Madras, my brother introduced to me a few associate directors, to see if I wanted to try scrip-writing...I did start writing, but I had to leave Madras and I left all those there :) -- I like the making part of movies, may be..But now, its far from me :)
