Velankanni church

This time we didn’t miss anything. We went straight to Velankanni, making a stop only to have lunch at a restaurant called Kannappa, at Trichy. We had good food from there. The roads were so good. He kept on saying the roads and the areas looked like they were from the pictures we have seen in the old children’s book called Ambili Ammavan. There was so much greenery. Then by 6.40 pm we reached Velankanni. The last 10 km was the worst. I felt like it will never end. Then it started raining. After spending about 15 minutes there we drove back to Thanjavore. Reached there by 10 pm and had dosa at Arya bhavan. We had booked room by phone at hotel Jnanam but when we went there the guy at the reception said they have no rooms. That was bad. Luckily we got room at hotel Tamil Nadu. The room was good , the bathroom was the worst. But it was better than none!.
