Sibling rivalry

The first time they saw each other the elder one looked like given a chance he won’t take a second to bite the younger one in to pieces. In fact he once tried and if it wasn’t for all of our shouting the younger one wouldn’t have been alive today. I felt sad, what are we going to do? After all they are supposed to be sharing the same roof one day! If this much animosity is there what will we do? We can’t throw away one and keep the other..
My husband said, don’t worry, give them sometime and they will start liking each other, or at least start to learn to live with each other. I trust him; I trusted his words this time too. One day he called me and said -Look. When I looked what I saw was both of them standing so close with their noses touching each other’s! I didn’t see any anger, only curiosity among them! Wow. And then he asked me ‘can I let them go free’? I looked at him and said, ‘why not, let them go free and if something goes wrong you are there to stop. Then he let them go one by one and to our shockingly pleasant surprise, we saw both of them running one after another and playing like they had been play mates from the time when were born! They didn’t eve bother to come near us when we called!!I just thanked god and sat there watching them. To my horror I saw then the younger one trying to bite the elder one playfully on his mouth and the elder one took the whole of younger one’s head inside his mouth! I didn’t want to see what would happen next but they just started running again!
The younger one is still a little bit on the jealous side. Whenever we call the elder one, the younger one will come running and will try to stop the elder one from coming near us. He will jump on top f him and bite him and do anything he can to stop him from getting any closer to us. I thought it was just a coincidence, but then when I saw this same thing happening again and again now I am convinced that this is not coincidence. This is done on purpose! Anyways I am glad to see both of them started liking each other and made our life easier for us:)

Now, I forgot to mention they don’t belong to the same family they are from two different families. Our pepper the elder one and Jackie the younger one.
