Fever season

Getting sick isn’t fun. Right now my husband is sick with fever. Today morning when my son told me he is worried about his dad I saw him wiping his eyes, it made me smile. He reminded me of my childhood. I told him I know what exactly worries him right now. I told him when I was his age I had the same worry when my father got severely sick with fever one time. I was worried about what if he dies and I just couldn’t talk about my fear to anybody either. Fearing if I utter that word it might happen...Now I can see the same fear in my son’s eyes. I told him not to worry; I promised him I will help his dad to get better ASAP. He seems to trust my words... kids will be kids...
I guess he is also missing his daily walks with his dad to the bus stop. They have to walk about ten minutes to get the school bus. They would walk talking about everything under the sun…
Well ,by next Monday I hope things will be back to normal when I will be running around shouting ‘Are you ready yet ?You are going to miss the bus’ blah blah blah and both of them calmly walking away as if they didn’t hear one word !
