My son went to the backyard to help his dad clean the doghouse (currently occupied by the raccoons).he was so scared of the spiders he saw everywhere. So I decided to give him a speech sitting inside the house, about how he can let them go and they will let him go, under normal circumstances.. In the end, he must have thought its better to face a spider than listening to my speech. Anyway, saw that he was busy cutting the bushes and walking around with a new earned confidence said to myself, good job!
Then after a while I heared him calling me, to come and see what he has. He had gloves on his hands so I came very close to see what’s inside his hand, and then I let out a scream that sounded almost inhuman. Hearing me screaming like that, he thought something else was wrong and jumped one-step back screaming himself. What he had inside his hand was a small frog. I didn’t think he would pick up one and bring it over to me. After we both calmed down I told him I have this’ thing’ about certain things, like home lizard, frogs but I don’t mind cockroaches or rats or millipedes, centipedes etc.. He told me he also has that same problem, he doesn’t mind frogs but hate spiders!
Well, so much for my speech.

hehe devika:)i am also a little bit afraid of my own species here;)sometimes more scarier than snakes.:)
So funny! SO often with children, it's "do as I say, not as I do"! Not too fond of the creepy-crawlies my self, but fortunately, have not had to deal with them very much, living in an apartment.
thats one of the reasons why i loved apartments:)
