Being in a perfect world,in my backyard..

The laziness is hesitating to leave me. I was trying to read Kamini’s posts about Ponnammal and could read only up to the second part! I need to read that, it’s so well written. Not just that, I need to catch up on others too!
The part of me that enjoys being lazy 24/7 is very much there. Once that sticks to me, it’s very hard to get rid of that skin. Yesterday, in the afternoon I saw my husband out in the backyard picking some weeds after being done with mowing the lawn. I hate to go out usually. But yesterday seeing the clean freshly mowed lawn, I felt like going out and I actually enjoyed being there! I sat on the old wooden one-piece swing and closed my eyes; it felt like an out of the world experience. All I could hear was at least five different types of birds’ sounds. One was like whistling, other would make short non-stop sounds, one sounded like kuyil/ koel. It was so calm and peaceful. It’s very hard for me to relax but I found myself relaxing for a couple of minutes sitting like that. I even saw a small bird picking a worm and eating it in front of me!. The temperature was just perfect. Not too warm not too cold and a breeze now and then. It was a perfect few minutes. I came back inside the house and saw the TV on, with the news talking about all the violence happening all around the world..

For a few minutes, I thought I was in a perfect world… but I am glad, even though it lasted only for a few minutes ....

Why did you sit there for such a short time?! If I were you, I would have idled there for much longer ... than come back and depress myself with the chaos around...!

Nothing like a freshly-mown lawn and perfect spring weather to brighten one's mood!
Glad you started reading and liked the Ponnammal saga! Take your time over it - it's not going any where! Alas - I know the lazy feeling all too well!

Hi:)

The photos were gorgeous. Lovely birds and beautiful surroundings.
With such a fantastic atmosphere all around how is it possible for one not to be lazy?

I think it is in one such wonderful atmosphere PB Shelly wrote the famous poem-ODE TO A SKY LARK.

Have a nice day:)
